Discover Love

Yes, I’ve decided I am vehemently against dating and all it’s associated tools, I haven’t tried dating apps, but I had intimate conversations with AI. I tried dating once or twice, but nah. Not for me. What dating does, is makes love or the discovery of love transactional. It gives the illusion that you have control in some way.

Do you have control over breathing? Yes, you can control your breath. You can choose to not breath, or the pace. But to stay alive, you don’t choose whether you breath or not. Well, that’s how it is with love. It’s part of you, is discoverable, but not something you shop for. The invention of the dating app, is another one of those technological solutions to a problem created through technology. It is a trap. A perpetual trap. Like AI. It feels like you’re doing something productive, that you’re resolving your problems. But slowly, the true essence of love, connection and creativity gets eroded.

What’s the solution? Community. Real, blood, hormone, flesh community.

Love is the breath of life, and life happens in the exchange of human – real human contact. The internet, social media, AI have their place – but there is a wave trying to wash humanity into the dark ocean of the ONLINE that we can learned to surf rather than drown in.

You don’t have to switch off, you have to touch in. Notice your breath. Notice where you feel things in your body. Take pause. Maybe adjust the way light is entering your eyes with filters. And remember who you are!
